On Friday 21st April, on the worldwide celebration of Earth Day 2023, a team of volunteers from Renaissance Legal joined forces with Sussex charity Grace Eyre to transform its allotment space in Hove.

On a sunny afternoon, the teams came together to dig, weed, tidy and make the allotment space an area where the charity and those it supports can enjoy and benefit from this year and beyond.

Julie Rossiter, Director of Income Generation at Grace Eyre, said:

“We are so grateful to the team at Renaissance Legal for giving up their time to help on the Grace Eyre allotment in getting it Spring ready for the people we support.  This assistance means we can now start our gardening and growing projects that explore nature, teach transferable horticulture skills and where we can deliver our art and well-being projects.   It is a calm and beautiful environment to spend time in over the coming summer months and is going to provide so many benefits and opportunities for everyone at Grace Eyre.  We would like to thank all involved for their hard work and willingness in developing this natural space as, with this help, we are now ready to start getting the best from this amazing resource”.
